Sobre este artículo
New York: Harper & Row Publishers, 1968 Hard back, with dust jacket (mod jacket design by Jim McMullen,) in mylar cover, 151 pp. Ex-Library copy. The author is a thrice-convicted felon who penned his first novel from inside the Minnesota State Prison. He continued to produce critically acclaimed, gritty novels after his release. This title tied for the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Award for the best First Mystery Novel of the year. This gritty tale concerns the murder of a pimp by a mysterious stranger, and Detective Tony Lonto of the homicide squad is in charge of the investigation. A relatively scarce title. Condition: Good, with a Good dust jacket. Spine is slightly cocked, and there are tape remnants to boards, rubbing to head and tail of spine and corners, as well as usual ex-library remnants and stamps within. Pages are tanned, and have a couple of stains. The dust jacket is unclipped and remains bright. There is a large repaired tear to the front bottom corner and small chips (as well as a couple of very small tears) around head and tail of spine of d/j.. First edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good.
