Sun-faded top edges and spine, lightly rubbed spine ends. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges starting to tan and fox. Endpapers starting to fox and tan. Presentation plates on front free endpaper. Otherwise, internally neat, clean, bright and tight; other than occasional foxing to margins. The author of ' First Teachings about the English Church ' aims to give some account of the English Church in the period between the Norman Conquest and the reign of Henry VIII by way of short biographies of the most prominent Churchmen during that time.
