First US edition first printing of the first novel in the Michael Kells series. Republished in 1957 under the title Sinister Murders. Made into the movie Diplomatic Courier in 1952 starring Tyrone Power as Michael Kells and Patricia Neal as Joan Ross. The head of the dustjacket's spine is missing a 1/4 inch of paper. Light spine fading to the dustjacket. There is a inch long closed tear to the top edge of the dustjacket's rear panel and two 1/2 inch closed tears to the top edge front dustjacket panel. Price clipped otherwise in very good / good condition.

In August 2006 we closed the brick and mortar and humbly went back to just internet. We now do internet and appointment only through our home.
