John Lane Bodley Head,, [1928]. 8vo., Third Impression, on laid paper, with portrait frontispiece, plates and endpaper maps, fore-edge very lightly spotted; original series binding of blue cloth, upper board blocked in blind and lettered in gilt, gilt back, blue top, uncut, a very good, bright, clean copy. With 4pp series catalogue bound in at end. Published a year after the first edition. The Golden Hind series comprises biographies of great explorers written by acknowledged authorities under the general editorship of Milton Waldman. Noted for their appearance and quality of design and production, all volumes are highly collectable.
