Sobre este artículo

Dover Publications Inc, 1985. Soft cover. Good. 8vo - over 7? - 9?" tall. Dover Publications Inc., 1985. Trade Paperback in Good Condition. viii, 242 pages. 5 3/8 x 8 1/2". The cover is worn, with scraping of spine and rubbed edges, the cover design by Paul E. Kennedy is bright and clean and unmarked. Pages are bright, not toned, completely unmarked, no creases. Binding is tight and solid. One of Trollope's finest short novels. The story finds Sir Harry opposing his daughter's engagement to George, her scapegrace cousin--a familiar theme with an unfamiliar setting and resolution. Anthony Trollope (1815-1882) is best known for his panoramic studies of Victorian society. A neglected Trollope gem, a must read by Trollope fans. This an unabridged, unaltered Dover (1985) republication of the edition published by Williams and Norgaate Ltd, London, 1948. ISBN10: 0486249530, ISBN13: 9780486249537

Sinopsis

Anthony Trollope's novel Sir Harry Hotspur of Humblethwaite, appeared in 1871. The novel offers psychological dissection of the issues of inheritance, filial duty, noblesse oblige, gentlemanly behaviour, repentance and love, all hung upon the story of the wooing and losing of Sir Harry Hotspur's daughter (and heir to his property), Emily, by their "scamp" of a cousin (and heir to Sir Harry's baronetcy), Captain George Hotspur.
