Sobre este artículo
New York: Farrar, Straus & Giroux / An Ariel Book, (1970).. (1970).. Very good. - Octavo, golden yellow cloth titled in maroon on the spine in a pictorial dust wrapper. The dust jacket is slightly creased & soiled with a couple of tiny chips at edges. 196 pages, illustrated in black & white. Near fine in a very good dust wrapper. <p>First edition. An exploration of the various Tristan legends, their origins and development through the ages. The author pays close attention to the versions circulated by the early troubadours as well as to Malory's and Spenser's. Those versions by Matthew Arnold, Sir Walter Scott, Tennyson, Swinburne and Wagner are all observed as are the modern versions by John Masefield and Edwin Arlington Robinson.
