Hardcover with dustjacket, first American printing, book is in excellent condition, a mild bump to the bottom front corner is the only remarkable flaw, the jacket has a short open tear on the spine, edge-chipping at the corners and spine-ends, and a small label-removal scar at the top of the front panel, the original price (1.50) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, "Christmas, 1939, can bring no more exquisite and heartening story than The Sister of the Angels," includes illustrations by C. Walter Hodges .
