Sobre este artículo
New York: Neale Publishing Company, 1919. Hardcover. [2], 75, [3]p., boards. 7.5 x 5 in. Not in Krick's bibliography of Neale books. Very Good. Satire presented as a travel narrative in which an observer visits "Maryville," a city in "Fairyland" on the Patapsco Bay (in Maryland). The traveler has several adventures including lunch, a visit to a barber shop, time in a modern department store, and an aborted attempt to join the U.S. Army. The entire narrative is framed as the published version of a manuscript of Dessauer's recently deceased friend, a supposedly well-traveled man who died a gruesome death after being shot by an Italian anarchist while taking a train in New York City. An unusually well-preserved copy of a rare title.
