Sobre este artículo
New York: Skateman Industries, 1979. Draft script and promotional booklet for an unproduced film, comic book tie-in series, and multimedia empire based on the superhero "Skateman." Script title page and booklet feature art and custom "Skateman" logo by Neal Adams.
While the original story and screenplay for "Skateman" were created by producer John Ballard, Adams' involvement with the project appears to have dated back to at least 1979. While a feature film was never produced, a comic book with art by Adams was published by Pacific Comics in 1983. Originally intended as a tie-in for the film (as mentioned in the booklet), the comic was released as a standalone long after the roller skating fad had ended, and is still widely considered one of the worst comics ever published. Ballard would continue to try to make Skateman happen, self-publishing three novels, changing the concept to skateboarding, and announcing a casting call for a film (though no film has been made) as recently as 2014.
Booklet likely intended for potential financial backers, with a detailed breakdown of the various demographics to which the character was intended to appeal, along with the potential box office revenue for the film.
