Baltimore: E. Weber & Co.. Very Good. 1849. Map. A large map of the state showing the progress of the public survey which was prepared by the Surveyor General, Lucius Lyon, in Detroit. Depicts both the upper and lower peninsula, as well as Lake Michigan in its entirety, most of Lake Superior, and about half of Lake Huron. Size: 26 3/8" x 21 7/8" This is map "O" which was prepared by the Thirty-first Congress. Contains fold lines, as issued. A one inch closed tear to the top edge of the map -- about one half inch extends into the map's border, but does not affect any printed portion of the map since the map is white in that part. Ref: Karpinski 779; 26 3/8" x 21 7/8" .
