Top edge of text-block with gilt, remaining edges rough cut. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Frontispiece missing. One tissue guard detached. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Sunning to spine. Mild crushing to spine ends with small split at joint. Minor fraying to cloth at spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
