Cincinnati, OH: Wm. H. Moore & Co., Publishers, 1851. 8vo. 363, [1] pp. Engravd frntsp., 28 plates (some lithographs, woodcut engravings, and some copper plate engravings). Recent black half-calf over pebbld cloth, gilt lettrng & rulng on spine & cvrs (occasional toning and foxing as usual, mnr tide mrk to lwr fore-edge of a few leaves), still a nice copy. First edition of this fascinating compilation of vital statistics, historical information, and business development in Cincinnati, Ohio during the first half of the 19th century. Cist (1792-1868), founded the Western Weekly Advertiser journal in 1843, which later became Cist’s Weekly Advertiser.
