Pictorial full-color endpapers. Hugo, a trained St. Bernard rescue dog, grew restless in his lonely dog house on the mountain where he watched for skiers in trouble. His droopy eyes droop lower, until one day he sees a small boy lose his comrades. Hugo rushes to his aid, and, shortly the mortified dog finds himself in goggles and ski-cap, going down hill on one ski. Hugo recovers and helps lead other skiers back up a hill to rescue the young boy. Hot chocolate abounds and Hugo is proven to be a good rescue dog. A clean very presentable copy.
