Orange cloth boards with gilt lettering to red panel on spine. Nice tight copy, no namesinside. ; 256 pages; Novel set in Italy as a island has to deal with it's volcano coming back to life. Tom Patch, an english artist that has been on the island of Anapoli for some time, becomes an unwilling spokesperson for many of the islanders worried about increasing signs of volcanic activity. The leading politician on the island however has an election to win in a few weeks, and surely things can wait until that is out of the way... .
