CONDITION: First, this is an old(er) book - UNREAD, but not perfect, 1967 Abingdon Press small hardcover (light blue decorated cloth boards) & dust jacket (in mylar cover), first edition (according to Abingdon but not stated), no printing given. Light spots of edge wear. The DJ is the big problem here: several "repaired" very tiny tears bottom and top edges and it has been price-clipped. Probably a little better than I think it is. CONTENT: What makes a church? Every child wonders. And each child must discover for himself the special substance, or ingredient, that makes a building a church. Is it a tall steeple? Is it a stained-glass window? Is it music from a mighty pipe organ? The inquiring child in this book seeks to discover through his everyday adventures, over a period of a year, what a church really is. Do you know what that special ingredient is?
