NY: Vanguard, 1945. Bound in blue cloth, stamped in silver in original dust jacket that show some minor scuffing and a bit of maroon ink blotch to front panel (I think it was a publisher's registering flaw). Overall, a great, tight copy in the original (unrestored dust jacket) and scarce thus. This is a first edition of the author's scarce first book. Ms. L'Engle went on to write the classic Newberry Award Prize Winning, "A Wrinkle in Time". Previous owner's neat bookplate to front pastedown and name, date and location to front free endpaper. 371 pp.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good +/Very Good +.
