Sobre este artículo

UK,slim 16mo HB+dw/dj,1st edn.FINE/FINE-.No owner inscrptn and no price-clip to dw/dj.Bright,crisp,reasonably clean, colour pictorial artwork by David Knight, illustrated dw/dj with some minimal foxing/spotting to front panel and to internal flaps of dw/dj from which transposed to respective verso+recto of plain white free endpapers, with negligible shelf-wear,creasing to edges and corners - no major nicks or tears present, hinges solid and sound without any cracking.Top edges lightly toned from light dust-soiling but without foxing,fore-edges brighter and cleaner and also without foxing; contents exceptionally bright, tight, clean, solid and sound - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners, appears unread apart from my own collation. Bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered publisher's original colour illustrated repeated dw/dj design/illustration to paper-covered boards with dark blue cloth blind-spine with bright, crisp blocked silver gilt lettering.UK,slim 16mo HB+dw/dj,1st edn,5-63pp [paginated] with blue+white decorations by David Knight interspersed throughout the text and the book.
From its opening with the birth of the snowflake in the grey winter clouds above a mountain village;through all the viicissitudes of her career in the deep snows of winter,in the streans, the rivers and lakes, the peaceful countryside and the great cities through which she passes on her long journey to the sea; to the final moment when once again she is drawn up by the heat of the sun into the clouds from which she was born, the story is told with bewitching grace and sincerity.Behind the simplicity of this near fairytale lies a deep sense of the wonder and beauty of the cycle of creation and dissolution and recreation; a feeling expressed in the snowflake's own awe and wonder at the mystery of her being and at the wisdom and love of Him who made her.

Reseñas

El Aug 22 2021, un lector dijo:
I own this book and would like to win for my grandchildren and great grandchildren to read. It is a beautiful rendition of the Circle of Life, the Creation Story regardless of your specific religion and an explanation of the what each phase of life from birth to death means. A more beautiful story you could not leave for your children and their children to read or have read to them. This is a book that a hospice patient could enjoy having someone read to him or her.

This is a lovely story for everyone on so many levels. I can see this being read to a child with cancer or other debilitating illness.
