Sobre este artículo
London: Cassell and Company, Ltd,, 1926. First edition, first impression, preserving the rare dust jackets. Robertson served as head of the British army from 1916 to 1918. His book charts the often fractious relations between the political and military authorities during the war, perhaps the first in which politicians were so closely involved with military strategy and the supply of resources. He nonetheless gives a generally even-handed analysis. This copy is from the collection of Churchill's bibliographer Ronald Cohen, with his ownership signature in pencil to the front free endpapers. Two volumes, octavo. Original black cloth, spines lettered in gilt. With dust jackets. With 8 half-tone photographic plates including frontispieces. Jackets a little darkened, rubbed, and nicked at extremities, unclipped and without repair: fine copies in very good jackets.
