Dustjacket is complete but has a sticker stain to base of spine - now protected in a purpose-made plastic sleeve. Black & white frontispiece. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 171 pages. A selection from the two volumes published by Tolmer in 1882. Tolmer was soldier of fortune and decorated war veteran in England. On his arrival in 1840 in South Australia he was appointed head of the Mounted Police Force and then rose to become Commissioner of Police in the young Colony. . 1st thus. Hardback.
