Sobre este artículo
New York: Harper and Row, 1971. Early American edition. Octavo, original red paper boards over black cloth, original dust jacket. Book fine, price-clipped dust jacket nearly-so.
"TO ME, MOTHER TERESA REPRESENTS, ESSENTIALLY, LOVE IN ACTION, WHICH IS SURELY WHAT CHRISTIANITY IS ALL ABOUT"
Early American edition of Malcolm Muggeridge's lovely tribute to Mother Teresa. Based on the BBC documentary on her life and work, this project proved to be pivotal in Muggeridge's own personal journey from atheistic communism to Catholicism and the impetus for his eventual conversion. Muggeridge's account generated controversy over his assertion of the miracle of the "Divine Light" in the House of the Dying but "the portrait of a believing woman by a nonbeliever brought Mother Teresa international acclaim and attention." (James Martin, My Life with the Saints). Beautifully illustrated with 24 lovely black-and-white photographs (many double-page), by S. K. Dutt of Camera Press London. Consists of several sections: Something Beautiful for God, Mother Teresa's Way of Love, Mother Teresa Speaks, A Door of Utterance. An Appendix prints the Constitution of the Missionaries of Charity and a Chronological Table of her life. Muggeridge was received into the Church in 1982 (at age 79). Saint Teresa of Calcutta was canonized by Pope Francis on September 4, 2016.
