Imprimerie Centrale De Paris, 1906. Vellum. Very Good. 26 pages. Decorated vellum binding, stretched thinly over thin boards. A local subject matter expert indicated the following when asked if she knew anything about Joliet: "Auguste Joliet was not a sociétaire of the Comédie-Française. He was a lowly pensionnaire, i.e., a hireling. Some sonnets and other poems addressed to Molière were written for and performed at the annual Homage, so that might have been the occasion for these." There are what appears to be 2 large manuscript sonnets on the half-title page and an inscription to a ?Professor Spaulding? Vellum. An unusual item, with no copies listed on OCLC or any services as of this listing.
