Owned by the venerable proprietor of Goodspeed's with his illustrated bookplate. Privately-printed and pseudonymously-written (by Goodspeed, even?) collection of humorous verse: "Harvard's perennial satirist got into action yesterday, when he circulated around the square hundreds of small paper covered volumes entitled "Sonnets of a Sorehead," taking a number of lusty but good humored swats at many prominent figures of the University, from President Lowell and Professor Baker to the statue of John Harvard, and the Crimson." (from the Harvard Crimson, 1925) Not to be confused with a similarly-titled book written in 1908 by James P. Haverson. First and sole edition; quite scarce.
