Sobre este artículo

New York: Atheneum, 1969 WYSIWYG pricing--no added shipping charge for standard shipping within USA. Introduction by Robert Ardrey. Full grey cloth, gilt titles on spine, orange endpapers, [ix], 226 pp, 2 ff b & w plates including frontispiece. Ex-private library with stamps on edges & fpd. DJ front panel rubbed. Book & DJ covered with heavy plastic. From the DJ: "When Eugène Marais died in 1936 he was well known for his pioneering work in the field of animal behavior. His study of chacma baboons in Northern Transvaal led him to the conclusion that man's subconscious mentality is in fact the primitive, instinctive mind, or psyche, which in the evolutionary process has been crowded out by the development of a reasoning intellect. Curiously, however, the manuscript of The Soul of the Ape, which embodied Marais' research, disappeared some time before his death, and remained a mystery for nearly forty years, until recently discovered by his son." Shipping weight 2 lbs.. First US Edition. . Near Fine/VG. 22 X 14 cm.
