Catalogue of an exhibition of books, atlases and maps held in the South African Library, Cape Town, 1 March till 5 April 1952; in commemoration of the arrival of Jan Van Riebeeck at the Cape; 6 April 1652 / Katalogus van 'n uitstalling van boeke, atlasse en kaarte in die Suid-Afrikaanse Biblioteek, Kaapstad, 1 Maart tot 5 April 1952, ter herdenking van die aankoms van Jan van Riebeeck aan die Kaap 6 April 1652. 8vo; blue cloth-backed paper on boards, lettered in gilt on spine, with gilt festival device to upper cover; pp. xii + 187 + (i), a few plates, facsimiles. Copenhagen bookplate to front pastedown; boards very slightly rubbed and foxed; some foxing to endpapers and edges; occasional pencilled annotations. Good. Bilingual text: English and Afrikaans. This exhibition brought together some of the greatest desiderata of Africana collecting. .
