The book is tight but has some stains on corners at margin inside, the cover is fraying, faded, and stained. There is a design of confederate and union flag with anchor inside wreath on cover in red blue and gold. Brady writes in the preface in 1903 "I have watched the evening camp-fires under the trees at Chickamauga, while I wore the Army uniform, and have fancied I was an actor in that tremendous cataclysmic battle, . desperate and bloody. " Vignettes by Louis D. Arata. Rare book.
