Krenkel, Illustrator. 8vo up to 9½" tall., 285pp. Beige cloth boards with black titles, illustrations front, black spine titles, illustrated endpapers, top edge black. Color frontis and four full page black and white illustrations, numerous black and white illustrations within the text. Volume is in fine, unread condition; coated black jacket is near fine with inside toning, very light shelf wear. Contains four stories: The Lion of Tiberias, The Sowers of the Thunder, Lord of Samarcand, and The Shadow of the Vulture.
These stories were first published in pulp magazines Oriental Stories and Magic Carpet in the early 1930's.
Robert Ervin Howard was an American writer. He wrote pulp fiction in a diverse range of genres. He is well known for his character Conan the Barbarian and is regarded as the father of the sword and sorcery
