Raymond Chandler was an American-British novelist and screenwriter best known for his detective crime stories. He was best known for writing the novels such as 'The Big Sleep' and 'The Long-Goodbye', featuring the PI Philip Marlowe. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper. Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
