Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Visible wear marks to boards.

There is some foxing and soil spotting on the end papers and title page, otherwise the pages are clean but tanned. There is a price written on the top of the title page. The cover has some light soiling and a bump on the bottom of the back. The spine is faded. There is no date of publication mentioned, but appears to be early to mid 1900s..

The Spanish Gypsy is a narrative poem set in fifteenth-century Spain and tells the story of a young woman, Fedalma. She was born a gypsy, but was taken from her parents by the Spaniards during a raid against the Moors. She was raised in luxury and as a Catholic by her fiancé Don Silva's family. Her father, a leader of the gypsies later appears and she must chose between her fiance and her people. ; 7 x 5 x 1 inches; 287 pages .
