The individual issues average 16 pages each, each issue the work of an individual author, and are bound in order in volumes which were issued in 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976. Some of the best writers in modern literature are featured in prose and poetry, including several contributions from Charles Bukowski, Paul Bowles, Tom Clark, Michael McClure, Antonin Artaud and many other writers published through the years by Black Sparrow. Each volume is Fine and bound in colored cloth with paste-down label to front and a clear acetate wrapper. .
