Sobre este artículo
London, England: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1979. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. Another fine contribution to the series, States and Cities of Ancient Greece, edited by R.F. Willetts. Augmented with 19 figures. Exceedingly scarce in the trade, there being currently but only two additional copies on-line, one being an ex-library copy. Fine-looking, structurally sound hardcover, little discernible wear, bright interior, unmarked, bound in blue cloth over boards, sharp and distinct lettering to spine. Previous owner's ink-stamp along bottom edge, inside front flap. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, little worn, a bit sunned, chip missing along bottom front edge. From the personal library of the noted English historian of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, Professor Peter Morris Green, now of Iowa City, Iowa, 99 years old, nearly blind, but still working, in this case on a new translation and with annotations, of Herodotus, his favorite historian. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. xv [2], 2-410 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
