Sobre este artículo
Tor Books, 1986. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight and clean with the barest hint of lean. Boards sharp and clean, title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with a touch of light toning to edges. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Feels lightly read. Nice sharp spine ends, near fine condition. Jacket has three 2mm rubs to the front panel, and crimping to edges. There is a small area of lifting lamination to the head of the spine. The rear panel has a some light handling marks and a 2mm closed tear to the top edge with an associated crease, otherwise lovely and glossy. Jacket grades near fine. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A near fine example of this first edition first printing title. Note that this is the first printing not the 1991 reissue, with the lilac title and $15.95 to the front flap. A highly collectible title, the second Ender book.
Sinopsis
Speaker for the Dead (1986) is a science fiction novel by Orson Scott Card and an indirect sequel to the novel Ender's Game. This book takes place around the year 5270, some 3,000 years after the events in Ender's Game. However, due to relativistic space travel Ender himself (who now goes by his real name Andrew Wiggin or by his title "Speaker for the Dead") is only about 35 years old. This is the first book to talk about Starways Congress, a high standpoint Legislation for the human colonies.
