Dedication to the Right Honourable Thomas Earl of Wharton. Condition is VERY GOOD-: boards are slightly loose, textblock is tight; head and tail chipped, corners rubbed, all edges lightly rubbed, light toning to endpapers, internally clean, closed tear page 73, owner name on fep, owner name on title page [ Samuel Tracey's book,__1771 ]. The usual lively commentary on a sundry of topics: beards in former ages, the consequence and benefit of candour, chocolate and women, dancing as a necessary accomplishment, Sir Roger Coverley visiting the tombs in Westminster Abbey, faults of grammar schools, epitaph on the Dowager Countess of Pembroke, Female Rakes described, and much more!
