Good. this Volume the First in complete leather binding shows spotting and some moisture stain, has a burnt edge to front cover, short break in hinge at top of front cover, yet binding feels quite firm and sure. There is a spidery gift inscription inside the front board with a note about being purchased in Rome in '03 - but which '03 is that, eh? Spine has gilt decoration and text.
