[11], 4-382, [2] pp. Light green cloth with bright green lettering on the front board and spine; green topstain. Price of $2.50 on the front flap of the dust jacket. An early novel from a prolific pastoral writer, Bates' work centered on life in rural England, especially in the Midlands. A Near Fine book with mild fading to the topstain in a Very Good dust jacket with traces of edge wear, a few small chips, and moderate fading to the spine panel.
