Sobre este artículo
Toronto: McClelland & Stewart, 1923. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is clean and tight. There is a gift inscription to a former owner on a preliminary page, but no other marks and very few signs of previous use. The green cloth covers are fresh. The gilt spine and cover lettering has dulled. The dust jacket is not corner-clipped and is also in very good condition, with a darkened spine but only minor edgewear. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synops: The author lived in Compton, Quebec. This is a discursive history of pioneer days in Quebec's Eastern Townships. And as an interesting sidenote, L. M. Montgomery sent a copy of this book as a present to George Macmillan, and aspiring writer (Jennifer H. Litser, The L. M. Montgomery Reader, Vol. 2, page306)
