The last of the author's publications with Rivers, disappointing sales having caused something of a rift. Unbound sheets were sold to Duckworth who cut them down and issued them in their Reader's Library edition.Free endpapers lightly tanned. Small patch of foxing to half-title page. Spine slightly faded. Head of spine slightly scuffed. Very good. Uncommon.
