Sobre este artículo

London / New York: J. M. Dent & Sons, Ltd. / E. P. Dutton & Co, 1910. 1st Edition. Good. This book is in good/very good condition. The first printing of this book included 1250 books, of which 300 were for the American market - this being one of the 300. Provenance: Ex Libris inside the front cover for Alfred A. Knopf and containing the profile of, Frédéric François Chopin. On the first page is an inscription reading, "December 21, 1910 - Comparative Literature I." In 1910/11 Aldred A. Knopf Sr. was a student at Columbia University in New York and soon to meet his future wife, Blanche Wolf Knopf, with whom he shared a mutual love of books and eventually started their famous publishing house together. The book is bound in a brown cloth over boards. The condition of the cover is good+ with some wear and slight rounding to the corners, shelf wear to the bottom, creases to the edges of the spine, and a small tear and small loss of cloth at the top of the spine. Bottom and long fore edge are deckled. Top fore edge is smoothed and gilded. Printed in Edinburgh by Turnbull and Spears. Text is clean with a few underlined notes; including, "No man could think base thoughts who looked on her," (page 93).

Sobre John and Tabitha's Kerriosity Bookshop

I love books. Always an eager reader, I started collecting Antiquarian books while a teenager and studying history. Flash forward a couple of decades and I am excited to open a new all-digital bookstore to continue my love of books, while bringing desired books to readers, collectors, and other sellers. From Post-Incunables to modern First Editions, I will be regularly adding new stock.

Please reach out with any questions on books, their condition, or additional photos as needed.
