This book is available and ready to be shipped.. The story of her study and relationship with a cheetah that she called "The Spotted Sphinx". Joy Adamson remains one of the most famous and celebrated naturalists that the world has known. She gained fame by raising a lioness named "Elsa" the story of which was dramatised in a film "Born Free" that was a great success. The film had two sequels. She went on to study a number big cats, including Pippa, following the same method of training that she had used with Elsa before returning them to a wild environment. She was murdered in 1980 by an employee in a wage dispute. Ironically her husband a game reserve manager was killed by Somali pirates.
