C as the Eric Weinmann Librarian, where he directed the operations of the Central Library. De Simone came to the Folger from the Library of Congress after serving as the Curator of the Lessing J. Rosenwald Collection in the Rare Book and Special Collections Division for 14 years.Before his appointment as Rosenwald Curator in 2000, he operated his own New York based bookselling business for 22 years. Since retirement he has begun bookselling once again and is again a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers. He is also a member of the Grolier Club, NY, the Association Internationale de Bibliophile, Paris, and the Print Council of America.
