The work focuses on the deuterocanonical texts of the Catholic Church, with a focus on their place amongst the canon of the Bible. Originally penned by an anonymous author in the 12th century, and edited with notes by Philip Zazzera.Monastic bookplate to the front paste down of St. Augustine's Abbey, Ramsgate. In a half vellum binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Pencil to the front joint. Vellum is a little discoloured, as is usual. Rubbing to the boards. Some light marks to the boards and spine. Ink to the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with only the occasional spot. Stamp to the title page and to page 592. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
