Limited, numbered, signed edition of a volume in the Rivers of America series (edited by Carl Carmer). This is copy 172 of 500 with a signature page, signed by the author, preceding the title page. Clean except for a prior owner's address label on the front fixed endpaper and a scattering of tiny, dark specks on the head edge of the page block; full blue cloth shows softening at corners and spine ends, loose threads at the bottom right front corner, some fading along the heel edges and at spine ends, and a pale spot on the left rear edge, otherwise attractive with silver titles and decoration. Jacket absent. Two-page map; 309pp. incl. index.
