With an introductory essay concerning Puritanism and the Church of England. Matthew Arnold was an English poet and cultural critic, don of Thomas Arnold. Rebound in half calf over marbled boards, marbled endpapers. Externally smart with shelf wear, rubbed to back strip, light cracking to front joint, holding firm, chipped to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Minor spotting to first few leaves, otherwise pages clean, slightly browned due to type of paper used. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
