This is the vintage script signed by Orson Welles shown in the corresponding image Welles' signature appears in black ink at the head of the title page. "Stalin Allee" was written by Albert Mannheimer and Frederick Kohner in 1957 "Produced with great success by Margo Jones' Dallas Threatre, this lively and at times hilarious comedy is at the same time a penetrating commentary on the absurdities of the Communist way of life" (Information courtesy of Google Books). George Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 - October 10, 1985) was an American actor, director, writer, and producer who worked in theatre, radio, and film He is remembered for his innovative work in all three: in theatre, most notably "Caesar" (1937), a Broadway adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar"; in radio, the 1938 broadcast "The War of the Worlds," one of the most famous in the history of radio; and in film, "Citizen Kane" (1941), consistently ranked as one of the all-time greatest films. Albert Mannheimer (March 9, 1913 - March 19, 1972) was an American writer, principally of screenplays, including the Academy Award nominated screenplay for "Born Yesterday," which screenplay also received the Writers Guild of America award for Best Written American Comedy Award. Friedrich Kohner (September 25, 1905 - July 7, 1986), credited professionally as Frederick Kohner, was an Austrian-born novelist and screenwriter, both in Germany and the US (Information courtesy of Wikipedia) Condition / Notes: This script, measuring approximately 8 3/4" x 11 1/4", displays some age/wear indications, including light soiling and toning of the covers Small markings in pencil appear in the upper corners of the front cover The pages are clean, with light toning at the extremities.

Sobre Stanley Louis Remarkable Books (IOBA)

Seller of high quality books and ephemera, emphasizing older and unusual items, such as signed or association copies. I try to offer the kind of books, at fair prices, that appeal to me, hoping that they will appeal to others also.
