Sobre este artículo
(Washington, National Geographic Society, 1951). Large 8vo; original cloth; pictorial dustwrapper; previous owner's stiff Cellophane cover taped to pastedowns; signed by previous owner (renowned ornithologist Gordon Maclean) on front free endpaper; some tape marks to endpapers; pp. viii + 328, incl. index; profusely illustrated with the author's photographs, in colour and black-and-white. Inserted loose is the same author's article on Sapsucker Woods Bird Sanctuary. Good condition. "In the course of making photographs for the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE during the past 17 years, Dr. Allen traveled over large areas of the United States, Canada, Alaska, and Mexico. The chapters of this book, many previously published as articles in the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, tell of intimate association with the bird's world - an association that often called for observation of bird activities hours at a time from a blind only an arm's length from the nest." .
