Sobre este artículo
Palo Alto: Stanford University, 1907. 398p. plus numerous appended advertisements, printed on untrimmed extra-heavy clay-coated paperstock in sewn signatures and cased into red cloth boards decorated gilt and black. Class photos are tinted green, and the massive cardstock-weight frontispiece / titlepage is a nice one in colors, credited in the plate to Josephine E. Herron. Find an 18-page section of earthquake damage (1906) which was severe. The usual yearbook format but unusually lavish; the paper is so thick it is hard to manipulate, and the signatures are weakly fastened. Unfortunately little attention was paid to hinges on such a monster, these are cracked badly (rear hinge barely holding) under the weight of the enormous textblock, and other factors. Cloth boards are extensively frayed, rear joint split. First blank bears the ownership legend of one Ruth Swift, class of '08 but datelined May 10th 1907. A poor to fair copy; complete however, with no loose leaves.
