New York, 1852. Ephemera. Very good overall. A form letter with hand written additions, describing a new edition of the New York map to be published, and requesting changes, omissions, corrections to be marked in red ink specifically for the Essex County section. "...if you are not sufficiently acquainted with the geography of your County, you will please hand it to the Surveyor of the County... By complying with this request, you will oblige us, and confer a favor on the public - for which services we will forward you a copy of said Map when completed..." 4 7/8" x 7 3/4", folded, blue paper, blind stamp on back page, in ink on verso "H. Thayer & Co. Letter, Feby 1852", original folds, ink discoloration.
