Octavo, original grey cloth stamped in black on spine panel and in blind on upper cover. 316 pp. AUTOGRAPH POSTCARD SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR loosly laid in, addressed to Miss Cond, The Dell, Hampton in Arden, Warwickshire: "I'll send you one already signed, if you let me know which you'd like. / PC Wren". Return address Westwood House, Talbot Woods, Bournemouth; postmarked 1932, postage stamp removed. Mild foxing to page edges, corners slightly knocked; lacking (neatly!) the front free endpaper. A very good copy in the original pictorial dust jacket, small chips at head & heel of spine panel,light wear & rubbing.
