Octavo (21cm); purple cloth stamped in gilt on spine; dustjacket; 210pp. Boards slightly rubbed and faded at extremities; faint stain to lower fore-corner of text block; Very Good. The dustjacket is unclipped (priced $4.50); light rubbing to spine ends; a bit of soiling to front DJ flap, else Near Fine. Nichols's first book. Adapted for film in 1969, directed by Alan J. Pakula and starring Liza Minnelli and Wendell Burton.
