A very good copy in blue cloth with gilt titles on spine and blindstamped titles on front cover Just very slight shelf wear Endpapers age darkened, and a small chip on the page edge of p 85 (no effect on text) but otherwise no marks or damage Unclipped DJ has small chips at jacket spine ends, but is otherwise in very good condition

The author has inscribed "To JMB from Alan Herbert" on the title page JMB was James M Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan His bookplate is affixed to the front pastedown
Sir James Matthew Barrie, 1st Baronet, OM (1860 â€" 1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered as the creator of Peter Pan 241 + 8 p adverts pp.
