Sobre este artículo
London: The Bodley Head, 1976. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a first printing of the first edition, with the "First published 1976" statement on the verso of the title page. The interior of the book is crisp and clean. There is a discrete bookseller's stamp in the bottom corner of the front fixed end paper, but no other marks or wear. The green covers are fresh, with a bit of light wear to the corners and shallow bumps at the top and bottom of the spine. The gilt spine lettering is still shiny. The dust jacket is not corner clipped, and is also in very good condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. Synopsis: "It is A.D 1120, the year that the Manor house - Green Knowe - is built solidly and defiantly, a family home and a fortress against invaders and the weathering of time. Roger, son of the Manor, and first of the Green Knowe children, watches with pride and triumph as each stone is set ... And he listens with fascination to the tales of the builders and masons, and to Karl's tale in particular: the story of the magical Stones ...
Sinopsis
This last installment of the beloved series recounts the long-ago beginnings of Green Knowe, a time when Roger, the son of a Norman lord, was the first child to live in the grand old manor. Roger finds some ancient stones on the grounds, which magically transport him back and forth in time so he can meet and befriend Toby, Linnet, Susan, and Tolly--the future inhabitants of Green Knowe and the heroes of the five other magical books in the series.
